About Me

I was raised on a dusty dirt road in rural Virginia. When I was growing up the world encompassed all that I could run to, miles of dense woods, scattered houses, farmer's fields and winding roads. My dad would play National Public Radio on my way to and from school and there was always the local Public Broadcast Station on television in the evening. Through these organizations I began to develop a love for places I had never seen in person and stories that often go passed over.

I have grown quite bit since then but that desire to explore the corners of the world that I haven't seen still lingers. Everywhere I go I try and come back with more personal stories than souvenirs. I aim to bring that same passion that inspired me to the world. To open up the world and to share the stories of a humanity that is bigger than the few square miles of my hometown.
